Our office phones hours are Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm
Our phone is forwarded to our answering service each day from 11:30am to 1:00pm for lunch. Calls are forwarded to our answering service at 4:30pm and on weekends and holidays. The answering service will forward non-urgent messages to the office every weekday morning. Physicians will be contacted for emergencies by the answering service.

We encourage our patients to call us for routine and well-care visits during normal business hours.

On-Call Coverage
Our physicians are part of a larger group of Sturdy doctors who provide on-call coverage. If you have an emergency during non-office hours, the answering service will page the physician who is covering and have them call you back. If you are seen at Sturdy Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Care Center and require a Gastroenterologist, you may be seen by any physician from our group.

The practice accepts most major insurance plans as well as many commercial plans.


What is a Gastroenterologist?

A gastroenterologist is a physician who specializes in disorders and conditions of the gastrointestinal GI tract, also called the digestive tract. After completing their general medical education, gastroenterologists train for at least two years to attain Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Then, gastroenterologists study for an additional 2 – 3 years specifically for conditions of the GI tract.

Endoscopic examination of the esophagus and stomach (upper endoscopy) or large intestine (colonoscopy) may be scheduled. These procedures are done at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, located in close proximity to our office.

The Gastroenterological services we perform on site include Video Capsule Endoscopy Studies, Remicade Infusion Therapy and Treatment for Hepatitis. 

We evaluate the following problems:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Constipation

  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Biliary Tract Disease
  • Heartburn/Indigestion
  • Liver problems
  • Pancreas problems
  • Rectal bleeding
